Mold Damage – Jaffrey Kitchen
Mold damage developed in this Jaffrey home’s kitchen when the drain trap to the sink had developed a slow leak. Even though the water damage was gradual, it was enough to provide the moisture necessary to develop mold damage in the dark environment under the sink. The mold ultimately grew to affect the cabinetry. When called in to a site with mold damage the first thing our trained crews do is to provide a complete assessment of the damage. Once the outlined course of action is accepted by the homeowner and their insurance company would locate the source of the water damage. In addition, they would use moisture detection devices in and around the mold damaged area to identify any unseen mold infestation. All of the affected areas would be hand scrubbed with SERVPRO cleaning solutions to remove the mold buildup. Once cleaned, an antifungal agent would be applied to inhibit any future mold growth.
